On February 4th 2013, Rev. Patrick Boll was on a business trip four hours north of Sioux Falls, in Minneapolis. He received a phone call from a young women who we shall call ‘Dawn’ who stated that she was trying to get off drugs and had no place to go, no money, and no food or shelter. There we comments made that evening about selling herself for food and a place to stay in Sioux Falls.
Feeling frustrated that a woman reached out for help and he was not able to do something, Patrick began to dream about a place of refuge. A place where women, whether in desperate need like Dawn, or just needing a little guidance, could go and be safe, be clothed, and fed. Most importantly they could be given the resources to understand that they have a purpose in this life. That God has a plan for them, and it is good and they can have a life transformed into something that is beautify.
